Ginger DelgadoGinger Delgado has more than 20 years experience as a journalist, most recently as a TV news reporter at KDVR FOX31 and KUSA 9NEWS in Denver. She has also been an on-air reporter for the ABC affiliate in Albuquerque, NM and the CBS affiliate in Medford, OR. Ginger got her start in TV news on the assignment desk at KTTV and KABC in Los Angeles.

During her 10 years at 9News, Ginger covered a variety of high-profile stories such as the Columbine High School shootings. She was one of the first reporters on the scene. She won a 1999 Heartland Emmy Award for her live coverage. Additionally, she has earned numerous awards for her reporting and writing from The Associated Press, CABJ and NATAS.

Ginger broke numerous stories that earned FOX31 and 9News exclusive coverage and gained national attention. She has reported on such high-profile stories as a live liver transplant at CU Hospital that led to Colorado’s first donor death, the Jon Benet Ramsey Investigation, the Oklahoma City Bombing Trial, the Democratic National Convention and the capture of the Texas 7 Fugitives.

Ginger is now co-owner of a successful, Denver-based PR firm. She has utilized her experience as a journalist to provide highly-effective media relations expertise for companies and individuals, both corporate and non-profit. She has created PR campaigns using traditional and social media, produced high-quality videos for client’s websites and assembled corporate sponsorship campaigns.

Ginger has dedicated her time to speaking at metro-area schools and universities about how to break into TV news and the importance of education. She is committed to helping young people pursue job opportunities in the media.

Ginger was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She attended California State University, Northridge where she majored in Speech Communications and Journalism. She has also completed continuing education courses at the prestigious Poynter Institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg, Florida.
